HustleFlow is an assistant that businesses use to answer their own customers on WhatsApp and on their websites. This policy explains what information we handle when that happens, why, and how we protect it.

Who we are

HustleFlow ("we", "us") provides software that lets a business reply to its customers automatically and follow up on leads. When you message a business that uses HustleFlow, we process your messages on that business's behalf so it can serve you. The business decides how it uses the leads and conversations it collects.

Information we process

• Messages you send and receive in a chat with a business that uses HustleFlow (on WhatsApp or a website widget), so we can understand your request and generate a reply.
• Your phone number or chat identifier, so the business can recognise the conversation, follow up, and have its team continue with you.
• Your name, if WhatsApp shares the profile name with the business or you provide it in the chat.
• Basic technical data needed to deliver the service (timestamps, message IDs, the business the message was for).

We do not ask for, and the assistant is instructed not to collect, sensitive financial details such as full card numbers or passwords through the chat.

How we use it

• To generate helpful replies to your questions on behalf of the business.
• To capture and follow up on enquiries (for example, a one-time message after a day if a conversation went quiet), so the business can complete what you started.
• To pass an enquiry to a human on the business's team when you ask for a person or need help the assistant can't give.
• To operate, secure, and improve the service.

How replies are generated

HustleFlow uses third-party large language model providers (currently Anthropic's Claude API) to generate chat replies. Conversation text is sent to that provider to produce a response. We use these providers under their business terms and do not use your conversations to train public models.

AI assistant

Businesses on this platform use an AI assistant to answer chat messages. When you message a business here or on WhatsApp, the first reply is usually generated by AI on the business's behalf. You can ask for a person at any time and the team will take over. Conversations are stored so the business can follow up on your enquiry; we do not sell your data.

Who we share it with

• The business you contacted. Your conversation and contact details are visible to that business's team so they can serve you. This is the whole point of the chat.
• Service providers that help us run HustleFlow: messaging platforms (Meta's WhatsApp Business Platform), our AI model provider (Anthropic), and our hosting and database providers. They process data only to provide their service to us.
• When required by law, or to protect rights, safety, and the integrity of the service.

We do not sell your personal information.

How long we keep it

We keep conversations and leads for as long as the business needs them to serve you and for our legitimate operating purposes, after which they are deleted or anonymised. A business using HustleFlow can request deletion of the data tied to its account.

Your choices

• You can stop messaging the business at any time. On WhatsApp you can also block the number.
• You can ask the business you contacted to access or delete the information it holds about you. Because the business controls that data, please direct those requests to them; we will support them in fulfilling it.

Security

We use encryption in transit, restricted access, and verify the authenticity of incoming messages (for example, we validate the signature on every WhatsApp webhook). No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect the information we handle.

Children

HustleFlow is for businesses and their adult customers. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the service evolves. We'll change the "last updated" date above when we do.
