Why use this one

Private by design

Read inside your own browser tab, never uploaded. No server holds your financial history, so there is nothing for us to lose.

Actually free

No trial, no card, no subscription that starts quietly in seven days. You are not asked for an email before the download.

Built for M-PESA

Not a general converter guessing at columns. It knows the layout, so dates, details, money in, money out and balance land correctly.

Finds your customers

Every payment into your line carries a name and number. We group them, so you see who paid, how often, and how much in total.

Honest about gaps

If a row does not match a layout we know, the page says how many and shows the rest. A partial read is never shown as a whole one.

Works on your phone

Safaricom emails the statement, so most people open it on a phone. The converter runs there just as well as on a laptop.

How to get your full M-PESA statement

  1. Dial *334#. Choose My Account, then M-PESA Statement, then Request Statement.
  2. Pick your period. A full statement can go back up to five years. Six or twelve months is usually enough to see your regular customers.
  3. Check your email. Safaricom emails the PDF within about five to ten minutes. The password arrives separately by SMS.
  4. Open it here. Drop the PDF in above with that password. The file stays on your device.

Why bother converting it

The difference between having records and having a shoebox.

Left as a PDF

  • Proves one payment, and nothing else
  • Cannot be sorted, filtered or totalled
  • Hides who keeps buying and who stopped

As a spreadsheet

  • Total any month in a couple of minutes
  • See which customers have gone quiet
  • Back every expense on your tax return

It matters more than it used to. Since January 2026 the Kenya Revenue Authority checks the income and expenses on a return against eTIMS records, so expenses you cannot support are treated as profit. Most of that work is not the filing, it is reconstructing the year from M-PESA messages.

Questions

What is the password for my M-PESA statement?

Safaricom sends it by SMS when the statement is generated. It is often your National ID number. If the SMS is gone, request the statement again and a new code is sent.

Does my statement get uploaded anywhere?

No. The PDF is opened and read inside your browser tab. It is never sent to us or to anyone else, and nothing is stored. You can turn off your internet after the page loads and the converter still works.

Is it really free?

Yes. No signup, no email, no card and no subscription. Other converters show a small charge to download and then bill a much larger amount every few weeks unless you cancel. There is nothing to cancel here.

Can I use the mini statement?

No. The mini statement is the five-transaction SMS and has no detail to convert. You need the full statement that arrives by email as a PDF.

Will the file open in Excel?

Yes. You get a CSV, which opens by double-clicking in Excel, Google Sheets, LibreOffice or Numbers. Phone numbers are kept as text so the leading 254 is not stripped.

How do I get a statement for six months?

Choose the six-month option when *334# asks for the period. Longer periods take a little longer to arrive by email.

What is the customer list?

Every completed payment into your line carries the payer name and number. We group those, so you see who paid you, how many times, and how much in total. Bank transfers, Fuliza overdrafts and paybill shortcodes are not counted, because they are not customers.
