Compared with Crisp, flat-rate business messaging and live chatHustleFlow vs Crisp
Crisp is flat-rate business messaging: one predictable monthly price whatever your chat volume. HustleFlow meters AI conversations but includes four agents that also follow up, reactivate and ask for referrals. Crisp wins on predictability at high volume. HustleFlow wins on what happens after the conversation.
What each one costs
Crisp: Plans start around $25 a month with a flat rate rather than per-conversation metering, so cost does not move with chat volume.
HustleFlow: Starter is $15 a month for 50 conversations, Growth is $30 for 300, and Scale is $75 for 1,000. One flat fee per business with no per-seat charge and no overage billing.
At very high chat volume the Crisp flat rate can beat a metered plan outright. At 50 to 300 conversations a month, HustleFlow Starter at $15 or Growth at $30 is the cheaper side, and includes the outbound follow-up work Crisp does not do.

HustleFlow compared with Crisp
| HustleFlow | Crisp | |
|---|---|---|
| Billing shape | Metered by AI conversation, hard stop at the allowance | Flat rate, volume does not change the bill |
| Predictability at high volume | Replies pause when the allowance is reached | Stronger, the price does not move |
| Follow-up when a lead goes quiet | Automatic | No |
| Reactivating an old customer list | Built in | No |
| Review and referral requests | Automatic after a won sale | No |
| Answers from your product catalogue | Yes, live prices and stock | Answers from help content you write |
| Contact records | Yes, with owner notes | Yes, Crisp ships a lightweight CRM with contact profiles and segmentation |
| Sales pipeline and deal values | Six stages with a deal value per customer, built in | Not the built-in CRM's job; Crisp points you at HubSpot, Pipedrive or Salesforce integrations for deal pipelines |
| What happens when you close a sale | Marking it won starts the feedback ask, then a review request if they are happy, then a referral ask 48h later | Nothing, the conversation just ends |
| Shared team inbox | Owner-facing dashboard | Yes, built for teams |
When you should choose Crisp instead
- Your chat volume is high or spiky and you want one number on the invoice every month regardless.
- You want a shared team inbox where several people work conversations together.
- You are buying a messaging tool rather than a sales agent, and follow-up is already handled elsewhere.
When HustleFlow is the better fit
- Your volume is steady and moderate, where a metered plan is simply cheaper.
- The gap in your process is after the conversation, not during it.
- You want the agent quoting real prices and stock from your catalogue rather than from a help article.
- You want to track the sale through stages without bolting a second CRM subscription onto the chat tool.
Common questions
Is flat-rate pricing better than a HustleFlow conversation allowance?
At high volume, often yes, and that is a real reason to choose Crisp. At the volume most small businesses actually run, 50 to 300 conversations a month, HustleFlow costs less and includes follow-up, reactivation and referral work that a flat-rate chat tool does not do.
Crisp has a CRM too. What is different?
Crisp's built-in CRM is genuinely useful for contact records, profiles and segmentation, and for many support teams that is enough. What it does not do is deal pipelines, which is why Crisp integrates out to HubSpot, Pipedrive or Salesforce for that. HustleFlow keeps the pipeline in the same place: six stages and a deal value on every customer record, with no second subscription.
What happens when HustleFlow hits its conversation limit?
The AI pauses replying until the next monthly cycle or an upgrade. There is no overage charge on any tier, so the bill is capped even though the plan is metered.
